Quail Springs
Several ways to network and get to know the people and projects in our region are built into the program, and we recognize that much of the most meaningful relationship building happens with “in between” conversations, mealtimes, and evening campfires.

"Spotlights" will be a time to share your project, what you are offering or seeking, with the group in a general session -  and to learn about the many amazing people and projects represented at the Convergence.

"Breakout Sessions"
will be a time to offer or join a creative session given by other participants – this may be anything from a discussion or organizing meeting, to a game in the pond or a walk on the land.

"Southern California Homegrown Potluck" lunch will be a time to share the bounty of foods grown and prepared in our bioregion!

"Displays" will be a space we hope to have for participants to share non-electronic visuals (for eg. a poster board, book, photostory, etc.)

"Electronic Hub" will be a way to exchange information, files, etc. Please bring a USB Flash Drive to exchange data.

"Next Steps Discussion" This will be a forum to discuss what is wanted and possible for our regional permaculture community.  This year's Convergence is hopefully just the beginning of an annual event that will be convened by different people and groups from our region each year.

"So Cal Permaculture Directory"  This is a developing idea for an internet-based resource for connection between permaculture projects and people based in the Southern California bioregion.  It will be brought up for discussion at the Convergence.  To join the initial interest list for the Directory (go to Directory page or sign up form).

Note:  Let's minimize printed give-away materials to postcard and business card size to reduce waste. Sign-up sheets are a way you can gather interest for sharing more detailed or extensive information.

SPECIAL GUESTS

We are happy to have several of Southern California's long time permaculturists as honored guests for the Convergence, and have asked them to share a panel dialogue with us.

We are also pleased to have Geoff Lawton and Brad Lancaster joining us this year to share their expertise in drylands, something that is of great value to the Southern California region.
